El Vaquero. WE have been your biggest fans for years. WE have raised our boys there. When our kitchen was being redone, we shared your meals twice a week. When we were opening our 3rd store in the Woodlands, we'd stop every other night and eat with you. We have often called in our order , paid over the phone, then had one of our 4 sons pick it up for us. Tonight, we tried to do the same. It has been a very trying 2 weeks with Hurricane Harvey and we were going to have our son pick up our meal for us. In no uncertain terms we were told that wasn't allowed. Cut and dry, no explanation , How disappointing. We called in our order to another local mexican restaurant who took our cc and alllowed our son to pick up.
Casa Vaqueros was delicious. It is tucked away in a spot you would almost miss if it weren't for the slew of cars in the parking lot at lunch and dinner. I LOVE Mexican food and this place hits the spot. It was very clean with a nice atmosphere. Family friendly but nice enough for a casual date night. The salsa you get upon sitting you could tell was house made and spicy! (which I like) Pricing was affordable but the real treasure here is the Flan. It too is house made and DELICIOUS! It was thick and creamy, just the way it should be. My family and I will be returning.
I am going to call tomorrow and try and talk to the owner/mgr and explain our situation and disappointment I hope i will be able to take down this review.
