This store is owned by husband and wife. Both of them are the nicest people that you will meet. The woman was on the counter at the time. When I came, it was very busy, but she was smiling and laughing the whole time. She was very polite and sweet and made sure that each customer is taken care of. She humbly apologize for the wait (there were almost 5 people in line at that time!) I don't think honestly that this woman can ever get mad at anyone, let alone customer. The man, was constantly walking around each aisle, and making sure that people were finding what they were looking for. He is a quiet person, a man of few words, but someone had asked him for advice, and he made it a point to show all of the options and what he thought.
Gandhi Bazar - a wonderful store!! The owners are truly the most humbling people that they are. They are just two young people working everyday to help and serve our community. Check out the store!! You will be amazed of this store!
Very friendly staff. Prices are unbeatable compared to other Indian stores nearby. Clean and fresh.
Nice place to shop Indian groceries. One thing I like about this place is that they don't sell meat. Good place and good people.
At the moment, you might find the store to be missing a lot of things. But, as the man replied, they don't stock up all of the items. He told me that in the next two weeks, they will have a sale, and at that time, everything that you could imagine, will be there.
Although a lot smaller than most of the stores in the surrounding areas, the store has everything that any Indian person would need for daily cooking needs. The produce in this shop is quite remarkable and fresh, and much lower in price than any other store in this area. While I was finished with my vegetables, I saw the gentleman right away throwing out and cleaning the vegetables and quickly stocking nice vegetables for the crowd. When I asked him, he told me that he doesn't want anyone to take home vegetables that he himself wouldn't provide his own family. You can not get this type of honesty in any other Indian store.
Did not get to interact much. The husband was covering the store and did not know the answers to my questions. I would have to come back when his wife was in.
Today, I went to this store for the first time. Many of my friends and church members are going to this store. I have been living here in this area for past 5 years, but never saw this store or stopped in until today. I am very happy that I did.
Terrible terrible experience at the store!! Got straight up yelled at by the store owner for wanting to return a purchase because we were informed the wrong price by one of their employees itself. As a person who has worked at customer service for years, I understand how hard it can be to handle customers. But... It is unacceptable when the employer gets angry at the customer for something their employee did. The lady didn't even give us a chance to explain ourselves and just started yelling at us. She made it sound like we do this all the time when we barely go to that store. I don't know if she mistook us for a different customer or what. Forget customer service, the least you can do is to act a little civilized to your customers.
